Sampling Field Manager

The Position: We’re looking for a qualified Food Demo Manager that will provide the following duties:

  • Provide in-store demonstrations for customers that will inform them about products and serving suggestions.  

  • Establish, nurture and maintain retailer relationships with key store associates such as Store Director, Department Managers, Seafood Associates and Food Demonstrators.  

  • Provides detailed feedback to Regional Field Marketing Manager with identifying successes, opportunities and recommended action plans with timing to address store identified gaps.

  • Drives the implementation of new store launches and acts as a resource for all levels of the program: program set up, training in-store employees, daily/weekly execution, and product knowledge.

  • Executes all training outlines and determines instructional methods, utilizing knowledge of specified training needs and effectiveness of such methods as individual training, group instruction, demonstrations and workshops.  

  • Supports field product launches with direct engagement with stores to ensure they are executed to standards.  

  • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing team to provide strategic and creative input in branding and sales.  As established by the Regional Field Marketing Manager, achieve sales results across all stores in assigned area.  

  • Document and communicate store audit findings and sales recap to Regional Field Marketing Manager  Manage individual schedule, travel logistics and expenses.

 

Some of the requirements are:

  • High school diploma (GED)

  • Ability to travel 80% to stores in assigned territory including occasional overnight stay.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in direct end-customer sales in retail or food industry

  • Effective at cultivating and maintaining relationships

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in the diverse community

  • Strong organizational, problem solving and influencing skills

  • Knowledge of arithmetic and reading and writing

  • Ability to execute and evaluate training plans curricula and methodology

  • Ability to follow health and safety guidelines and quality procedures

  • Ability to to work independently, set your schedule and manage your time effectively

  • Must have reliable mode of transportation with a valid driver's license

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and nights

  • Culinary and or experience working with food preferred but not required

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and internet applications

 

The pay range we’re offering is  $46,000 - $52,000

 

The Location: UpFront Marketing Corporate office is based in Arizona. The candidate we hire will be working in their immediate area and will be working with your current local retailers and associates. There may be travel required.
